Elstead Village Tennis Club has four qualified pickleball coaches and offers a complete pathway of development for players at every stage. We run Beginners,Improvers and Intermediate courses regularly throughout the year. In addition, a weekly Skills & Drills Coaching Session is open to players who want focused practice, and coaches are also available for private individual or small-group lessons.
Both members and non-members are welcome at all coaching activities, with priority booking for club members.

This course is perfect for complete beginners, with or without racquet sport experience. The emphasis is on learning in a fun, friendly and sociable environment, while quickly gaining confidence in all of the basic pickleball shots and movements.

Head Coach
After competing in County and Regional events as a junior player, Douglas qualified as a PTR ‘Pro’ level qualified tennis coach and a LTA Level 3 Accredited + Tennis Coach. (BSC Hons – Sport and Exercise Science, Leeds University). He has gained a lot of experience as a coach and is enthusiastic about helping players of all ages improve their abilities and enjoy their tennis. Douglas is especially passionate about developing the next generation of players. He is excited to be returning to Elstead where it all began for him at the young age of 4, to inspire a new generation of young tennis players. Douglas is available for private lessons, hourly rate £35.
